There's something mystical about the desert. It’s one of my favorite places on earth. I have visited many locations within the Mojave and Sonoran deserts, and I stand in awe every time I take in its beauty. The way the plants and animals thrive, how close the stars feel, how tiny of a human I remember I am. Somehow growing up I believed the desert was a barren wasteland, but once I visited Joshua Tree National Park, I knew this wasn’t true and started exploring more places like Anza Borrego State Park, Tucson, Saguaro National Park, Sedona, Moab, and many other places in California, Arizona, and Utah.
