Welcome to the jungle. Where green trees reach high into the bright blue sky, and you can see the humidity as clearly as you can feel it. The dense jungle gives way only once you’ve reached land’s end, revealing the warm crystal clear Atlantic Ocean that borders endless miles of beaches in Bahia, Brazil. Traditional fishing boats hand carved out of a single tree stay tied to shallow sticks in the mud off the coast. Kids swim out, climb up, and jump off the boats for hours. Fish swim around your feet as you play in the waves of their home. This is Barra Grande, Bahia.
